Södermalm ROCKS

Yes, it does indeed. Especially this top part, covered with rocks. A great place to hang around, just sitting on those and enjoying the view. There are a few ways to get up there, some more sophisticated (via paths) and some less sophisticated, too. We took one through forest-type bushy area which included some serious climbing activity, too. Nice though. I must admit, I was wearing my trainers and then switched to these once we got up :)

Ano, Södermalm rocks, a aj na týchto skalách úplne hore, odkiaľ je krásny výhľad na časť Gamla Stan-u (ukážem aj tú niekedy) a okraj časti Kungsholmen. Tá krásna veža, o ktorej sa neviem rozhodnúť, či je krajšia za svetla alebo po tme, je štokholmská Radnica. Skaly sú super, keď si chcete sedkať a kochať sa (ó- výraz Vé). Dá sa tam dostať všelijakými cestami, ale my sme si samozrejme polodobrovoľne vybrali tú ťažšiu cez leso/kríkovo. Priznám sa - mala som predtým obuté tendy a do lendackých papučiek som sa prezula až keď sme boli hore, lebo sa mi tam viac hodili :)

Skansen

Skansen is one of the must-see places, that you will find in all tour guide publications. And yes, I can only agree, it is a must-see.
It is partially an open-air museum on the island Djurgården (loosely translated as a animal garden), easily reachable from the centre by a tram or, more romantically, from Slussen by a ferry.
Skansen is a park, with wild animals set in a half-natural habitat and if you like Zoos, this is the place to go. Animals are not the only thing to see though, there are traditional Swedish houses with straw roofs, with contemporarily dressed guides inside them, who will tell you stories of how life was approximately 200 years ago. It really feels like the time has stopped here, amazing. There are gardens as well, such as this one - a lovely yard with roses. Felt almost mediterranean there. That is where me & Katarina have decided to take a few pictures of me&m´s winter pieces.
The entry is 100SEK, which is about 12 euros. If youre there, definitely take coffee in the local coffee shop, what an amazingly decorated place-with creaky wooden roofs and a smell of fireplace.

Skansen je jedno z tých miest, ktoré určite nájdete na prvých miestach v ktoromkoľvek bedekri o Štokholme. A ja len súhlasím, určite sa ho oplatí navštíviť.
Skansen leží na ostrove Djurgården, čo sa dá voľne preložiť ako záhrada pre zvieratá. Do Skansenu sa dostanete električkou z centra alebo romanticky loďkou zo stanice Slussen za pár minút.
Vstupné stojí 100SEK (cca 12 Eur) a môžete sa prechádzať po mieste vystrihnutom z 200 rokov dozadu. Okrem zvieratiek vo svojom relatívne prirodzenom prostredí sú v Skansene aj tradičné švédske domčeky so slamenými strechami, v ktorých vždy sedí sprievodca, ktorý vám čo-to porozpráva o tradičnom živote. Mňa veľmi bavilo, čo hovoril taký mladý pán o kováčstve napríklad. V Skansene sú aj krásne záhrady, napríklad táto ružová, kde sme sa rozhodli s Katkou pofotiť pár kúskov od me&m.

På en fredag ​​kväll, II

Another friday, another variation of the very same blouse as here, this time worn as a dress with another dress underneath. I think I will challenge myself to wear it next time as well, in a different variation. Throughout the evening in Marie Laveau (bistro, restaurant, bar - depending on which floor you go to) in Södermalm, I shot on my little analogue, so will get to see them in about a month or so :)
Have nice rest of the weekend. Were watching Harry Potter in Swedish :)

Ďalší piatok, ďalšia variácia tej istej blúzky ako tu, tentokrát sú z nej šaty, s druhými šatami pod ňou. Skúsim ešte vymyslieť tretiu variáciu na ďalší piatok :) V Marie Laveau (klub, bistro, reštaurácia - záleží od poschodia) na Södermalme som fotila na môj mini analóg, takže ostatné fotky z toho večera uvidím asi o mesiac :)
Majte pekný zvyšok víkendu. U nás má na svedomí lekciu švédčiny dnes Harry Potter.

Tunnelgatan

Simple, easy to wear & combine, good guality & above all, timelessness. That's what I appreciate when it comes to clothes. I don't think one needs to own much in terms of quantity, but betting on good quality and timeless, classic design should do the trick. Trends come and go, faster than you get used to them or adapt them in your wardrobe. Plus I think they're nice to look at for a while, and then they just wash off.

I think that once you adapt the idea on concentrating on the quality, you stop craving for everything "new" or "hip" you see around, which saves the state of your purse contents :) and suddenly you can afford to buy that nice leather bag or cashmere sweater, that will last you forever. (Another thing to consider is the brand you buy your timelessness from, but that is a whole different topic.) -Like those shoes: I have had them for three and a half years and they're as new still. What do you think of that? Do you have anything that you invested money in and it paid off?

These pictures were taken quite spontaneously, on a day when I finished making this coat Im wearing, it's actually made of Ikea Polarvide blankets and sewn by hand. It's nice & cosy, that fleece feels amazing on the skin. Reminds me of my childhood when we had fleece jackets and played in them all the time outside :)

Tunnelgatan, the location, is a tunnel - as the name suggests haha, about 300m long, connecting the very central Sveavägen and Brunkeberg Tunnel.

Jednoduchosť, pohodlie, dobrá kombinovateľnosť a kvalita, no nadovšetko nadčasovosť - to je to, na čo sa snažím klásť dôraz, keď ide o oblečenie. Nemyslím si, že je nutné mať veľké množstvo vecí, ale dobré kvalitné kúsky z dobrých materiálov. Trendy prídu, vznikne hype, ktorý ale odíde ešte predtým, než si na neho zvykneme a stihneme ho integrovať so svojimi šatníkmi.

Pevne verím aj sama za seba, že keď si zvykneme na to, že si budeme zaobstarávať kvalitné nadčasové kusy, vyhneme sa tomu, že budeme mať stále potrebu kupovať si všetko, čo je "hip" a "trendy", čím ušetríme kopec prostriedkov a zrazu budeme mať dostatok na tú skvelú koženú kabelku alebo kašmírový sveter, ktorý budeme môcť nosiť veky. (Druhá vec je potom rozhodnúť sa, ktorej značke zaplatiť za tú nadčasovosť, ale o tom inokedy.) -Niečo, ako tieto topánky, ktoré mám už asi tri a pol roka a sú stále ako nové. Čo si o tom myslíte? Máte aj vy nejaké kúsky, do ktorých ste investovali a neľutujete to?

Tieto fotky sú výsledkom celkom spontánneho nápadu, nafotili sme ich v ten večer, kedy som si dorobila tento kabátik, ktorý je vlastne z deky Polarvide z Ikea. Ušila som si ho ručne a nieje dokonalý ani náhodou, potrebujem na ňom pár vecí ešte domakať, ale bude to stáť za to, lebo ten flis je skvelý, teplučký a mäkkučký. A pripomína mi to detstvo, keď sme v dekových bundách behali po vonku furt :)

Malmskillnadstrappan

Trappan (swedish): stairs; connecting streets, overlapping each other is a common sight here in Stockholm, although Malmskillnadstrappan (just realised: it is quite difficult to type as well as to pronounce-hehe) would probably be the most significant ones, as they rise from Kungsgatan (a 1.5 km long promenade, specific for a huge concentration of cinemas, theaters & concert halls) and leads to Malmskillnadsgatan, which then crosses the Kungsgatan.

Complicated? Yes, agreed. 

I remember once looking for a place according to the always helpful Google map on my phone, and not realising there was another "layer" of town above me. So yes, sometimes, when you cant find something in Stockholm, I guess its helpful to find out if youre on the right "level" :) Like in Space Panic, haha.

Malmskillnadstrappan coordinates: 59° 19′ 54.7″ N, 18° 3′ 59.6″ E

Trappan sú po švédsky schody. Malmskillnadstrappan (názov, ktorý je asi ešte náročnejšie napísať ako vysloviť) sú v Štokholme pravdepodobne najsignifikantnejšie - prepájajú Kungsgatan (kinami a divadlami známa to promenáda, dlhá 1.5km) a Malmskillnadsgatan (ulica), ktorá potom križuje Kungsgatan.

Zložité? Súhlasím.

Pamätám si, že sme raz hľadali jeden spot, a podľa google maps sme stáli na ňom, len neskôr sme si uvedomili, že nad nami je vlastne ďalšia úroveň mesta. Urban game, niečo ako Space Panic, hahaha.

Skogskyrkogården

Sometimes I feel that I made this blog just to be able to give posts the most difficult titles :) Skogskyrkogården is a cemetery in the southern part of Stockholm (Eskede) and was finished in 1920, as a result of  international competition in 1915, won by Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz. Gunnar Asplund is the Architect of the Stadsbiblioteket also.
The Swedish customs, connected to the All Saints are similar to those I am used to from Slovakia, going to the graves and burning candles for our loved ones.We burned candles of our own, in this amazing cemetery, incredibly set in its surroundings. Have a good start of the week :)

Niekedy mám pocit, že zložitejšie nadpisy pre blogposty by som si nedokázala ani vymyslieť:) Skogskyrkogården je cintorín na juhu Štokholmu (v časti Eskede), ktorý bol postavený v roku 1920 po tom, čo Gunnar Asplund (autor Stadsbiblioteket) a Sigurd Lewerentz v roku 1915 zvíťazili medzinárodnú súťaž o jeho realizáciu.  Cintorín je úžasne zasadený do okolitého prostredia. 
Švédske zvyky na sviatky Všetkých Svätých sú podobné tým, na ktoré som zvyknutá zo Slovenska, Švédi majú tiež vo zvyku chodiť na cintorín zapáliť sviečky svojim blízkym. Tak sme urobili aj my.
