Markuskyrkan, Björkhagen

Did you know that björk (in Swedish) means birch? I didn't, until a few days ago, when we went to see this southern part of Stockholm.
Someone said the other day that I always make myself match the surroundings in the posts. I thought it was rather funny, but then, sitting in the train as we were approaching the church (Markuskyrkan), I thought this time it's legid!
Markuskyrkan was designed by the architect Sigurd Lewerentz and was finished in 1963. Some say it was his most noted building.

Vedeli ste, že björk po Švédsky znamená breza? Ja som sa to dozvedela až pár dní dozadu, keď sme boli pozrieť v tejto južnej časti Štokholmu. 
Minule mi niekto na niektorý post povedal, že sa zlaďujem s prostredím. Mne to prišlo vtipné, ale keď som cestou do Björkhagen z vlaku uvidela tento kostol (Markuskyrkan) a potom som sa pozrela, čo mám na sebe, už som sa nečudovala, haha.
Markuskyrkan postavil architekt Sigurd Lewerentz, hotový bol v roku 1963. Niektorí tvrdia, že toto je jeho najznámejšia stavba.
