Helsinki

Viking line sometimes throws in offers for free cruises to various locations, including Helsinki, Tallinn or even St. Petersburg. So, why not take a 40 hours-long round trip? Especially if the terminal is literally five minutes outside your house.
These cruises are known for wild parties and lots of duty-free promille, but for me, it was a sociological research, really. A combination of wedding-like bands and Fins in all age categories singing karaoke until early morning, all swinging together. And even three day after departing the board, you feel like the ground underneath you is moving. Fantastic! :D

The stay in Helsinki, in this case, was 6 hours, which is enough time to see Alvar Aaltos house ad studio, hang around the finnish coast in the beautiful area of Munkkiniemi and seeing the highlights you prefer. The city´s architecture is completely different to that of Stockholm. Very modern and somewhat rather spatious. I will let the pictures do rest of the talking, as they have a lot to say :)

Niekedy sa stane, že Viking line ponúka výlety loďou gratis (predpokladám že preto, aby naplnili kapacitu lode), napríklad do Helsinki (naozaj neviem posúdiť, či je ok ten názov skloňovať), Talinu alebo dokonca St. Petersburgu. Tak prečo sa nevybrať na 40-hodinový výlet tam a spať? Najmä, ak máte terminál doslova päť minút od domu.
Tieto výlety loďou sú preslávené šialenými žúrmi a množstvom duty-free promile. Ja som to brala ako sociologický prieskum, alebo ako rada hovorím, Antropoo (to je niečo ako Zoo ale s ľuďmi haha). Na palube hrala typicky svadobná kapela a rozjarení Fíni všetkých vekových kategórií spievali karaoke skladieb od lokálnej Mázikovej. Závrate na všetkych úroviach, najmä ale z vĺn na otvorenom mori.

Takýto výlet loďou poskytuje 6 hodín na prehliadku mesta, čo stačí na to, aby ste si pozreli dom a štúdio Alvara Aalta, pomotali sa po pobreží v krásnej štvrti Munkkiniemi a pozreli si dalšie destinácie podľa vkusu a preferencií. Architektov a ich fanúšikov bude baviť celé mesto, moderné a zvláštnym spôsobom priestranné. Dorozprávať nechám fotky, ktoré som nemala to srdce viac triediť.

Palazzo Mora

3- floored Palazzo Mora, located on the edge of Venice´s Cannaregio district is one of the external venues for the 14th Venice´s Biennale of Architecture, and together with Palazzo Bembo it hosts a collateral exhibition "Time Space Existence", exhibiting works of 40 arcitects/architectural studios; installations, models, project presentations & short films. I spent a long time lying on a chair, watching shorts from Marcio Kogan and Studio MK27.

Trojpodlažný Palazo Mora, ležiaci na okraji benátskej mestskej časti Cannaregio je jedným z externých  priestorov, kde sa v rámci Bienále Architektúry vystavuje. Palazzo Mora hostí kolaterálnu výstavu "Time Space Existence", kde sa prezentuje asi 40 architektov/štúdií. Vystavované sú inštalácie, modely, prezentácie projektov a aj krátke filmy, napríklad od Marcia Kogana a Studio MK27. Jeho videá vrelo odporúčam!

Artipelag

Behind the name, a smart word game, there is an art gallery, lying on a part of archipelago, South-East from central Stockholm.
The building of the gallery is fascinating, the subtlety of its setting into the surroundings is enchanting. It was designed and built by Nyréns Arkitektkontor in 2012. When approaching the gallery by boat, you will start seeing it only once you get really close. The site is nature-sensitive, the building softly lines the ground underneath and around it.
Wooden trails around the place are cleverly designed to offer most exquisite views of the sea, stroking the rounded rocks, created over time by iceberg activity, specific for the Nordic countries.
The forest trails are covered with pieces of wood, making them soft under your step.
Gallery itself is a combination of precise concrete panels, wood and glass. Space at its best.

Za názvom Artipelag, ktorý je zároveň bystrou slovnou hračkou je galéria na časti súostrovia a poloostrovov Archipelag, ležiacich juhovýchodne od centra Štokholmu.
Budova galérie je fascinujúca, položená do okolia s citom, aký som predtým v architektúre nespozorovala. Rešpekt voči prírode a ústupky, aby sa kvôli stavbe nemuselo do okolia zasahovať. Mám dojem, že väčšinou je tento proces otočený opačne a možno práve preto je projekt Artipelag taký výnimočný. Navrhli a postavili ho pred dvoma rokmi architekti z Nyréns Arkitektkontor.
Keď sa k nemu blížite loďou, spoznáte ho podľa prístavčeku pre lode návštevníkov, inak je galéria skrytá v stromoch, takže si ju všimnete až z bezprostrednej vzdialenosti.
Pobrežie z oblých skál, vybrúsených ľadovcom je lemované drevenými chodníčkami, z ktorých je výhľad na súostrovia naokolo a na more, hladkajúce kamene.
Cestičky v lese sú obsypané kúskami dreva, takže sú pri chodzi pod nohami mäkké.
Budova galérie samotnej je kombináciou elaborátnych betónových panelov, dreva a skla. Priestor v tom najlepšom zmysle.
