Is yet another amazing Stockholm train station, tiled to shape characters from computer games. I used to love play Super Mario, but even more than that I loved the Bomberman game. Do you remember it? :)
All the colors on clothes are something unusual for me, but when I first saw this Retart scarf with Alica Gurinova's artwork online, I knew I had to have it. The scarf keeps you warm and the colors liven up the day. My favourite Retart piece is this wallet, depicting the botanical garden from the bottom. So geniously designed, every time you look at it, something you havent seen before appears.

Je ďalšou z geniálnych štokholmských staníc, kachličky tvoria postavičky a prvky z počítačových hier, hlavne zo Super Maria. Ja si spomínam, že najradšej som hrala Bombermana, pamätáte si? :)
Takéto farebné a vzorové oblečenie je pre mňa nezvyčajné, mám pocit, ale keď som prvýkrát videla túto Retart šatku od Alice Gurínovej online, vedela som, že mi patrí. V šatke je teplučko a tie farby skrášľujú deň. Veľmi sa mi od Retart páči aj táto peňaženka s bratislavskou Botanickou záhradou. Každý raz sa na ňu pozriem, objaví sa niečo, čo som predtým nevidela.

Back to the heart of Stockholm.

 

I 'm back.
Back to the country up North, the land of alabaster skin and lustrous hair, million shades of grey reflected upon people's coats, the country of creaking sand on snow, sartorial peace and everyday visual bliss, the country where the butter is salty by default, the country of 'Tänk på avståndet mellan vagn och platform när du stiger av' (Mind the gap) sounding in the train over and over again, the country where I lay on my sheep skin carpet to meditate and back to that tiny little corner of the kitchen - the place where I always write these posts.
It's great to be back, although it is colder. It's refreshing with the hints of snow here and there. I am looking forward to see the year of the Horse in the Swedish colors.

Späť na severe, v kraji slonovinovej pleti a jagavých vlasov, miliónov druhov šedej na kabátoch, v štáte vŕzgajúceho štrku na tenkej vrstve snehu, sartoriálneho pokoja a každodenných vizuálnych nirván, v krajine, kde je maslo slané a tam, kde stále počuť "Tänk på avståndet mellan vagn och platform när du stiger av" (Vystupujte opatrne, medzi vlakom a nástupišťom je medzera), krajina, kde si chodím sadnúť a meditovať na svoju ovčiu kožušinku a presne sem do rohu kuchyne chodiť písať tieto posty.
Byť späť je skvelé, aj keď je tu chladnejšie. Vzuch je osviežujúci. Čo asi sem do Štokholmu prinesie rok Koňa?

Hallonbergen Metro

Hallonbergen is name of one of the amazing metro stations on the blue line, covered with insite, or childish paintings - the station was opened it 1975 and those paintings are, factually, drawn by kids. I say well done! :)
The station is amazing, however, the quarter seemed a bit dodgy - how unusual!
I was wearing my friends Petra´s new scarf, she instructed me to get her a black or white scarf, quite a big one. When I was passing by Monki the other day, I thought this might be it.
The scarf is with its new owner in Bratislava, and so am I! Looking forward to Christmas :)

Hallonbergen je názov jednej z tých úžasných staníc na modrej línii štokholmského metra. Stanica je pokrytá insitnými obrázkami, otvorili ju v roku 1975 a fakticky tie obrázky sú nakreslené detičkami. Super nie?
Vnútro stanice je skvelé, časť mesta Hallonbergen ale bola po tme trošku creepy - nový pocit na Štokholm pre mňa.
Mala som na sebe Petrin nový šál, Petra ma vágne inštruovala, že by chcela veľký šál, asi biely alebo čierny. Od začiatku mi bolo jasné, že ho nájdem v Monki. Petre som šál priniesla do Bratislavy spolu so sebou. 
Teším sa na Vianoce, aj vy? :)

T-Centralen

Five levels of Metro platforms, attached train station, shops, more shops, fast food restaurants, supermarket and yet more shops. Thanks to its size, importance, connectivity and position, T-Centralen is probably the most famous station in Stockholm. On the very bottom platform, there is this massive spectacular blue art piece. Katarina shot me&m´s waterproof raincoat here on our gorgeous Sofie. It was hard to catch T-Centralen out of its peak hour (its always so busy!), and we didnt really manage not to have people around, but we thought it was amazing :) I go through T-Centralen pretty much every daily, along with another 200 000 people.

Päť podlaží, na každom dve nástupištia, pripojená vlaková stanica, obchody, ďalšie obchody, fast-food, banka, obchody s topánkami, obchody s oblečením, supermarket et cetera. Všetko pekne pod zemou na T-Centralen. T-Centralen pre Štokholm znamená niečo také, ako by pre Bratislavu znamenala spojená vlaková, autobusová stanica + Zochova + Trnavské Mýto a Patrónka. 
Keď zídete eskalátorom na najnižšie poschodie, ocitnete sa v tejto modrej nádhere - asi najznámejšej zo štokholmských staníc. My s Katkou sme tam nafotili Sofie a dážďovku, medzi ľuďmi, inak sa nedalo :) Denne ich tadiaľ vraj prejde 200 000, ja medzi nimi :)

Solna Station

The time change, that I never really cared about has suddenly proved to be a non-friendly entity - oh, I guess my vocab is currently influenced by the academic writing I´m doing (a project on hosiery). Anyway, its getting hard to take pictures during the daytime. I have to say though, Sweden, or at least Stockholm isn´t any darker than London, Bratislava, Prague et cetera during the winter time.
These pictures were taken the other day, going home from grocery shopping: at a train station underground (what´s cooler?), at another train station, just outside from where I live. That "All eyes on me"scarf  is a funny one, as I would never have said I would buy anything like that, but I just really liked the font, the picture and the color combination (b&w) of it. Plus its big, cosy and can be worn on both sides. And if youre wrapped in it, you can´t really see what it says - unless you want to have ALL EYES ON YOU :) - like when youre a All Eyes On Me football team supporter or so :)

Ten zimný čas mi nikdy nejak veľmi nevadil, ale teraz si uvedomujem, že je to nekamoš, lebo obmedzuje čas, kedy sa dá fotiť za svetla. Ale musím povedať, že tu v Štokholme sa nezotmieva o nič moc skôr ako doma, zrazu príde tma a zima a dážď a hotovo. A potom sneh a vďaka nemu je zase viac svetla a krajšie oblohy (mám pocit, že píšem trochu scesty - lebo zároveň dorábam vysoko akademický projekt o pančuškách a ich histórii a vzťahu žien k nim atď).
Tieto fotky vznikli minule, cestou z domov z nákupu v lokálnej Coop Jednote (haha- ale tu ju majú vnútri metro stanice - cool as ice) na vlakovej stanici pri dome. Šál s nápisom "All eyes on me" je pre mňa celkom srandovný, neviem, či by som do seba povedala, že si takú hovadinu kúpim, ale je veľký a teplučký a mäkkučký a páčil sa mi ten font a tá farebná kombinácia. A keď si ho dám poriadne okolo krku, nevidno nápis, vtedy sa mi ten šál najviac páči. Cítim sa v ňom trochu ako fanúšik tímu All Eyes on Me. Čo? Idem radšej ďalej písať o pančuškách :) Pekný večer :)

Fridhemsplan

Stockholm has most defintely got one of the most amazing tube stations collection. The most spectacular ones are on the Blue Line (Blå linjen). They are usually just dug into the ground, with no extra wall smootering done, so on some of the stations there is water dripping off the walls, which makes you feel like you were in a cave. I havent yet had a proper look on all of them, but Fridhemsplan is great, with its huge ship models, compasses et cetera. So when my friend photographer Katarina Kri visited me in order to get some pictures of new coats by me&m taken, we knew we would have to take them in a metro station. Our model was Sofie, in quite a "last minute" manner - but things turned out how they were meant to, as usual. Sofie is a proper Swedish girl, who works as a flight attendant.  She told me that her sister, one of Stockholm supermodels, refused to go for a date with Bono Vox :). Sofie herself is a lovely being and its pleasure to watch her & her subtle allurement glowing all around. We also took pictures on my personal favourite station, T- Centralen, which I will show you as we go. Have a great day! :)

Štokholm robia špeciálnym okrem iného aj stanice metra. Systém štokholmského metra nieje taký dokonalý ako ten londýnsky, ktorý je v prehľadnosti úplne nekompromisný, ale o to krajšie je metro v Štokholme vizuálne. Obzvlášť zastávky na modrej linke (Blå linjen). Sú väčšinou len vykopané v zemi, bez nejakého uhladzovania stien - a následne pomaľované. Urban jaskyňa. Keď teda ku mne prišla kamarátka, fotografka Katka Kri, aby sme spolu nafotili nové kabáty od me&m, hneď sme sa zhodli, že to bude musieť byť (aj) v metre. Mali sme neskutočné šťastie na modelku - Sofie, ktorá inak pracuje ako letuška a vravela nám, že jej sestra, jedna zo štokholmských topmodeliek raz odmietla ísť na rande s Bonom Voxom. OK. Na Sofie je skvelé, že má jeden z tých milých pôvabov, je radosť byť v jej spoločnosti, lebo okrem toho., že je milá, jej to aj páli. S Katkou sme ju nafotili aj na inej, mojej obľúbenej zastávke metra, T - Centralen, ukážem inokedy:) Majte krásny deň :)
